UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR

 

ClockJack Productions in association with Old Sturbridge Village present Upon A Midnight Clear— An Acoustic New England Christmas, headlining O.S.V’s  beloved “Christmas by Candlelight” program and running November 29th through December 30th, 2024. The nightly holiday concert features, three up-and-coming, singer-musicians re-interpreting classic holiday songs with roots in mid-19th century New England while a jolly narrator tells of their unexpected origins. Hear your favorite holiday traditions remixed along with the fascinating stories of how these iconic songs came to be— each with roots in mid-19th century New England— from “Joy To The World” to “We Three Kings” to “Jingle Bells” and more!

“Christmas by Candlelight” at Old Sturbridge Village is a cherished holiday celebration of New England’s festive traditions Village will transform into a stunning winter wonderland from November 29th to December 30th, featuring over 85 beautifully decorated trees on the Christmas Tree Trail, over 80 wreaths, hundreds of candles illuminating the pathways, and 5,625 feet of garland adorning historic buildings.

Upon A Midnight Clear is written and directed by P.J. Griffith.

The Associate Director/Production Stage Manager is Amy MacRae. The Assistant Stage Manager is Avery MacRae. Period costume designs by Abby Duell.
